Our family-run business was founded by our Principal Consultant Rob Weller who has a long history in the industry. Electrical Investigation Ltd was incorporated in May 2020 with a vision to bring our high-end specialist skills and vast experience to provide a comprehensive service to the customer.
Rob has the knowledge to see the 'whole picture' and has quickly built a reputation to find out what's gone wrong and why, in often difficult and complex cases, which our clients have been unable to solve without us.
We mostly work with corporate customers, and the majority of these are repeat clients. We can also work for individual private clients, usually via instruction from their solicitors.

Rob is our Principal Consultant & Executive Director. Rob is a Chartered Electrical Engineer and has worked as a technical specialist for most of his career. He has worked for UK Network Operators, Industry Bodies and Utility Companies to provide Technical Consultancy and Policy Services, including focus on Earthing, Harmonics and Power Quality.
Rob also serves as a Forensic Investigator and Expert Witness, and has investigated over 300 electrical fires and / or shock incidents.
He maintains links with academia, in particular his alma-mater Cambridge University. He also works with leading UK consultancies and organisations to carry out research & development work to improve electrical safety.
